The main conflict of Fahrenheit 451
is society burns book but some people are trying to save the books so they can
gain more knowledge and not just always watch television. Guy Montag is one of
the main characters. Guy Montag is a firefighter and in this society firefighters
are supposed to burn books. The odd thing is Guy Montag is a firefighter but he
doesn’t like burning books he tries to keep them. Guy Montag actions are
confusing considering he’s a firefighter but he wants to keep books. If he gets
caught for having these books he will be in huge trouble! I can’t wait to see
what will happen to him! Why do you think Guy Montag is a firefighter?
I agree with what you're saying. Guy Montag's actions are confusing. He is a firefighter and he is trying to save books. I do have one question that I am wondering though. What do you think will happen to him later on in the book because of his actions? Who will turn on him and who will become his friends? There are many characters that were introduced to us so far in the book that play an important role. I think that Mildred will not help him because I get a negative vibe from her, by the way she looks and talks throughout the book so far.
