Of the choices provided on the
list for this summer reading project the Freedom maze really got my attention.
Just the title alone makes the book sound very interesting. Also I saw a couple
of personal connections between myself after reading this interesting novel. One
of the personal connections I saw was that the title Freedom maze connects to
me because I also had family members that were slaves and that had to gain
freedom. Another personal connection I noticed was that the main character Sophie
went over to her grandma’s house she became very bored and often wondered off. I
realized that I do the same thing when im at my grandma’s house. My last
personal connection I noticed was Sophie was 15 and so am I so I bet we go
through the same situations as teenagers. I would specifically recommend this
book the too anyone that loves to learn about freedom and slavery because the
main topic in this book I slavery and freedom. Personally I fund this book rather
boring at times but it did have certain parts in it that really drew my
attention. I would still recommend this book because I feel that others still might
find the book interesting.
